1. Introduce retake rules and intervention for active reading strategies 2. Complete diagnostic assessment 3. Mini-lesson- Elements of fiction- students write down what they know about elements and then take notes. 4. Study elements of fiction definitions 5. Complete English- sentence fragments.

Tuesday –

1. Pre-reading “School Play” use active reading strategies. 2. Read “School Play” in interactive reader and complete questions. 3. Mini-lesson- context clues use the story. 4. Complete DOL 5. Continue taking elements of fiction definitions and study for test on Friday. 6. Complete elements of fiction matching activity.

Wednesday -

1. 1. Mini-lesson- explain reading fluency and read a short passage with a partner recording fluency score. 2. With a partner, orally retell “School Play” for the test. 3. Study elements of fiction and complete cloze passage. 4. Explain Spelling program and set up folder. 5. Go to LRC for book check-out

Thursday-

1. Pre-reading for “Tuesday of the Other June.” Discuss vocabulary and bully behavior, and active reading strategy sheet 2. Study for elements of fiction test on Friday. 3. Spelling- complete guidesheet activities 4. Create homophones in class.

Friday-

1. Read “Tuesday of the Other June” and discuss. 2. Complete Tuesday of the Other June worksheet (graphic organizer, character trait) 3. Take elements of fiction test. 4. Spelling- Complete Dear Parent Activity.
