RETAKING A MATH OR SCIENCE ASSIGNMENT

· You may retake any graded assignment in math or science.

· If you get an F on a graded assignment, you MUST retake it.

· The score you receive on the retake will replace your original grade, even if it is lower than your original score!

· You must work with an approved tutor before you can complete the retake. An approved tutor is anyone who is:

1. an adult – including Mrs. Ledoux J

2. in 7^th grade or higher

3. in 6^th grade community 3 AND has earned an A or B on the graded assignment you want/need to retake

· To schedule a retake with me, you must follow these steps :

1. Get a retake form from the student supply desk.

2. Have your parent or guardian sign and date the retake form.

3. Work with an approved tutor to improve your understanding of the math content that is on the assignment you want to retake..

4. Have the tutor sign and date the retake form AFTER you have been tutored.

5. Bring the completed retake form to me at least one day before you want to schedule the retake.

6. Be sure you schedule the retake within the given deadline! There is one deadline for the entire nine weeks.

· Once you bring the completed retake form to me, I will schedule a mutually convenient time for you to retake the test/quiz. If you elect to do the retake before or after school, I will give you a note to take home to your parents/guardians. You may schedule retakes during the following times :

1. Before school (report to room 106 at 7:20 a.m.)

2. After school (your parents/guardians must pick you up at the front entrance by 3:30 p.m.)

3. During your study hall or academic assist period

REMEMBER TO SCHEDULE YOUR RETAKE WITH ME AT LEAST ONE DAY IN ADVANCE – NO EXCEPTIONS! J
