Calculator Information

Students are required to purchase a scientific calculator for daily use in math and science classes. While any scientific calculator with fraction capabilities will suffice, I strongly encourage students to purchase the Texas Instrument TI-34 II calculator. This particular calculator is very user-friendly and possesses all of the functions we will use in math class this year and for several years to come. It is much easier for students to follow along with the lesson and to work with their peers if everyone has the same type of calculator. For your convenience, this calculator is on sale in the school office for $17.00, but you may buy it at any store you would like. Students are urged to put their names on their calculators in permanent ink or by engraving them.

Calculators should NOT be left in lockers over night for two important reasons:

1) The calculator should be used each night to complete homework, and

2) It will prevent theft of the calculator. Students will be at a major disadvantage without a calculator.
