Volunteers

Without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, the PAWS Program would not be able to touch the lives of as many children as it does.

*Julie Kirker

My mom and co-creator of the PAWS Program.  She is a recreational therapist, dog trainer, and therapy dog

evaluator.  She had her own preschool program “Tots and Tails” that served as a model for the PAWS Program.  Her experience and advice is critical to this program.

Julie will be volunteering next year with Bear and Annie.

She did not volunteer this year because she let me borrow Bear while Maggie has been in training!!

*Nancy Owen

Nancy is our first volunteer.  She has done an amazing job working with several students this year.  She visits with her dogs Coba and Sabra.

*Jennifer Gehring

Jennifer joined us in the middle of the year, and we are glad to have her.  She teaches Karate at Karate for Kids.  She will be volunteering with her dog Chewie.

*Karen

Koslowski-Cahoon

Karen is our newest volunteer.  She is joining us for the end of the school year.  Karen is a retired teacher.  She will be volunteering with her dog Roxie.

We are looking for more volunteers to help make our program a success.  If you are interested in volunteering please visit Becoming a Volunteer or Contact Us for more information.
