Hello, I am Mrs. Jodi Downerd
and I am one of the preschool teachers at T.C. Knapp Elementary. I have been a Preschool teacher at Perry
Local for 13 years. Before I came to
Perry I was an Itinerant Preschool teacher for 3 years at
I have been married for
13 years to my husband Todd. We have a
daughter Chloe who is 9 and a son Cooper who is 5 years old. I enjoy spending time with my family and
taking long walks.
I have the older
preschoolers in my class. I will teach
pre-kindergarten skills in my class through activities and center-based
play. Some of the skills that will be introduced
are: colors, shapes, numbers 0-10, counting to 20, patterns, graphing, coins,
letter people, rhyming, address, phone number, tie their shoes, cutting, and
following directions.
I have one aide in my
classroom. Mrs. Annie Smyser has been in
my room for 8 years. She holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education
1-8. She is married to Rick and has 3
children and 2 grandchild.
